๐ Hi, I am Bibek Poudel.
Computer Science Ph.D. student in the Fluidic City Lab at UTK.
My research, advised by Dr. Weizi Li with support from Center for Transportation Research, lies at the intersection of reinforcement learning (RL), autonomous systems, and intelligent transportation - spanning from multi-agent simulation to real-world robots.
In my recent project, I was part of a team that developed a robotic wheelchair for personalized exertion control. My current research focuses on leveraging RL to optimize urban environments for its diverse stakeholders. Specifically, I am interested in developing agents that can simultaneously make decisions on design (such as configuring unsignalized crosswalks for pedestrians) and control (such as traffic signal timing for vehicles).
For more details on my background and experiences, please check out my resume. Besides research, I am developing edunotes.ai, an AI-powered note-taking app, and I occasionally write on my blog.
