👋 Hi! I am Bibek Poudel.

Final year Computer Science Ph.D. student from the Fluidic City Lab at UTK, advised by Dr. Weizi Li with support from Center for Transportation Research.

My research focuses on reinforcement learning (RL) for transportation and robotics, where I build systems that learn from experience to solve real world problems. In transportation, I have developed agents in multi-agent simulation that improve traffic flow for safer and more efficient mobility. In robotics, I have worked on real time and human-in-the-loop control of of physical robotic systems.

Currently, I am working on two projects: First, I am developing agents that simultaneously make design and control decisions in urban environments to improve outcomes for pedestrians, vehicles, and urban planners. Second, I am developing AlphaTransit, an agent that designs transit routes for real-world cities.
